It's a blog about nothing!
Tomorrow is it. I leave for Air Force BMT.
It’s going to be a long, arduous task I’m putting in front of me, and I have every reason to be afraid, and yet I can’t help shake the same feeling Bilbo Baggins did. Storming out of the comfort of his home and into the great unknown, searching for something he’d never dreamed of getting the chance to experience: an adventure.
Of course this is no goodbye Tumblr, far from, but I still feel the need to tell all my friends who follow me and look at my blog: Thank you. Thank you for helping make this chapter in my life the wonderful experience it was, and for being there for me as this new chapter unfolds.

Stay gold everyone. I’ll see you on the other side.

Tomorrow I take the ride to meps.

And the next day my grand adventure begins.

Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you is determinism; thou the way you play it is free will.

I’ve seen this in a few places now and thought it was a fake (and it still might be… at least I hope it is) but there’s been a few places claiming it is true.
It’s disgusting and one of the reasons I’m against organised religion. Every person has a right to form their own beliefs as they grow up, to make their own assumptions about what the world and universe means to them. Organised Religion indoctrinates children, teaches them how to think, what they should be doing and what to believe in.
On top of that, science is not something you ‘choose’ to believe in. Science is a set of theories and this does not mean “Oh, it’s just a random guess” no, that would be a hypothesis (See: God Hypothesis). A theory is an idea that has had multiple sources provide evidence in support of it. Evolution is a theory, the Big bang is a theory and Newton’s law of motion is a theory. They all have an abundance of evidence to support it and should be treated as such. This is knowledge that should be taught in schools, not a belief system.
Stop indoctrinating children and restricting them from information. Your religious beliefs are based on faith, not facts and there’s nothing wrong with that. But this means you have to accept the fact that your faith is no more credible than that of fairies, ghosts, witches and the boogeyman. Do not discredit science because of your hypothesis of the universe.
Whether you’re religious or an atheist, the best gift you can give your child is an open and critical mind of the world around them. This is a grade 4 test, they are too young at this age to come to their own conclusions and this is indoctrination. Stop it.

It was my last day of work today too. Leaving was a lot harder than anticipated.

I don’t think I’ll ever have a job or a boss as great as I did for the past 3 years. I never thought I’d miss a dental lab this much.
